...from a long battle with cancer at the age of 49. One of the greats in sports anchoring in the past decade. Dude was always entertaining and made everything he was a part of fun and enjoyable. He will be missed. "Boo yah!"

When I was younger I loved watching SportsCenter nonstop especially during the summer. Stu Scott was one of my favorites and I loved "Booyah" and "Cooler than the other side of the pillow" Huge part of my childhood has passed away. Cancer sucks, RIP Stu and prayers to his family

Everyone in my age bracket grew up with the guy on ESPN. Dude is like the personification of sports growing up. Horrible news. This special on right now is pretty damn sad too. I have seen a thousand of these little sad specials and yea, they're sad, but this is one is gut wrenching.

Absolutely gut wrenching. He was my favorite as well. I don't normally cry too much about these sort of things, not being apart of my family. This video had me in tears. RIP Stew!

First, Berman is a narcissistic megalomaniacal hack and if it weren't for his stupid fricking "nicknames" would have absolutely no value on air but, hes been there forever and has successfully run off anyone he thought was a threat to his "funniest guy on ESPN" throne over the years. Kilborn, Patrick, Olberman, Eisen...all WAY funnier than Berman.

Stu Scott was able to bring some fun to the show without seeming like he was upstaging anyone. If you don't think Stu Scott will be missed more than Berman when he finally goes, you betta axe somebody!

sad face

I grew up watching him on SportsCenter. His death just reminds me of how we're all aging and dying...

Drinking to him, tonight...

It is not really about Berman or Oberman or any of the others. It is about how he lived, his values and priorities and how he dealt with this wicked hand he as dealt.

If you dig in it a bit, pretty incredible guy although not one of my favorites.

He lived well and never, never gave up.
