Our two current biggest rivals, LSU and Auburn, lost a combined 10 games just this year, 8 in the conference.
Alabama hasn't lost 10 games total and 8 in the conference since the 2008 season.
That's 7 seasons ago. Our players now were in elementary and junior high school then.

Roll tide, folks.

Also the two games we lost weren't exactly bad losses. Ole Miss really was a good team this year when they didn't have Bad Bo, and Ohio State is a traditional power and playing for the title.

Also, in both game we lost when Sims threw an INT in the endzone in the closing moments. We were that close to Dallas.

I'd say now they're definitely a rival. Not top two though. #3 behind AU and Tenn though.

UT has been down for a loooong time now, and over the past few years the Bama/LSU game has more often than not decided the WEST and who goes to the national championship.

I'm very proud of Bama's Season and what the players and coaches accomplished.

On the flip-side I'm pissed at the few "fans" that think otherwise.

12-2 and SEC Champions is a great Season.

This Team made great progress from the opening game against West Virginia.

Roll Tide....

on the surface it was a good year. nobody in the sec had as goo of a year. the ole miss loss i understand. drake was a shock to the whole team then lost the center. couple that with bad blake, which is light years better than bad bo. but this game? this game was a cluster from the opening kickoff with c jones dang near giving up a td to osu. this game should have been different, but it wasnt, thats life.

That series is far more competitive recently than any other than the Iron Bowl.

Most old timers are the ones who claim it isn't a rivalry. They claim Notre Dame is, which is absolutely preposterous.

I did say "current" rival. LSU has been way more of a rival lately than Tennessee has been.
Consider the Bama LSU game has been the CBS marquee night game, whereas the Bama UT game got what this year, ESPN U?
