Nice win today on several levels. Coming from behind against a veteran team that very well could make the NCAAs. Yale did a great job of forcing Vandy off their spots offensively both on the perimeter and in the post. The key was switching to a zone and the 3/4 press. Winning their first close game and in overtime goes against Stallings' teams recent historical struggles both in close and late games as well as overtime.

Folks on tRant really have no clue about Vandy. Picking us in the bottom 3 of the conference. Gonna be fun to surprise people.

Yale is a nice win at home but it is not like Yale is burning up the basketball scene.

Lost @ 6-6 Quinnipiac
Lost @ 11-4 Providence
Lost vs 6-7 Albany

Then...
Lost @ 7-6 Gators by a whopping 38 points in a 47-85 game

I am hoping for good things but the game @ Arkansas will be a better feel of how conference play might work out. If the Dores can go there and pull the Double OT win then my exuberance will not be irrational.

Yale had a higher RPI than we did before the game. In the context of where this young team is currently, it's a good win.

Nobody wins at Arkansas so don't hold your breath.

I will be interested to see how our young backcourt ballers handle the piggies press...
