IMO arky should probably be a bit higher. It's a cesspool of humanity, but so is mississippi. Surprised they didn't make the top 10.

Per one comment on the linked website, the crime rate in the city/county you live in is what's important.

Yep, pure shite, for sure. I've lived here almost my entire life and have NEVER felt as though I were in danger.

North Carolina, however, is a different story. My third night there, I wake up at around 2am and there's a large black man standing over my bed. All he will say is, "I've been watching you sleep." Adrenaline kicked in and since the guy looked like he was tweeking from hitting the bong a little too much, I talked in a low, steady voice and he ended up walking back out the same door he broke into. I seriously thought I was going to die that night.

That man would have had 3 .45 cal slugs in his chest. I sleep with my 1911 just for that reason.
I bet you didn't go back to sleep! ??

Hell no I didn't go back to sleep. The many, many different ways that scenario could have ended haunts me still today. He was geeking hard, though, and I was afraid that if I freaked out, it would just elevate his level of irrationability.

I've lived here my entire life and have seen some shite but never felt threatened. Only time my life was in danger was when I got robbed in Memphis at a fricking McDonald's but even then it wasn't really that bad because I cooperated and the robber only got $25 and my driver's licence.

We get on these lists solely because of W. Memphis, Pine Bluff, SW Little Rock, Hot Springs, & Texarkana. Those shite stain areas have one core commonality that anyone that could afford to move to NWA already has and those left are the worst this state has to offer in terms of human equity.

Agreed, with the exception being Hot Springs. Granted, Hot Springs is shady as frick once you head towards the north side of town but overall I didn't find it that bad when I lived there. I'd even say I like it more than Fort Smith. From what I gathered, its mainly a bunch of drug and property crime that give HS a bad rep.

You couldn't pay me enough money to live in Pine Bluff, West Memphis, or Little Rock. Every time I have to stop in Little Rock I feel like I'm going to get jumped and I simply avoid West Memphis and Pine Bluff like the plague. El Dorado and Camden are bad too. Believe it or not, Crawford County has the largest felony court docket in the state, 1.5x as much felony cases as Pulaski county, which is in second place.

Speaking of West Memphis, the West Memphis Three are guilty as hell.

Just noticing you are female...you are quite lucky. Sleep with your pistol under the covers with you and do not be afraid to use it.

You can't say that, that's racist and profiling. No place for facts here, buddy.
