You have to go back about 25 years to understand what has happened and why the SEC is being punished.

Added Hog and Chicken in 1991.

Partly angered football gods for addition of Hog.

Bama given a break in 1992 since (a) Bama long previously sold soul to Devil, and (b) Gene Stallings is a pretty nice guy.

But, Barn had to pay for the addition of Hog in 1993, so "no soup for you, Terry Bowden-led Barn" ... that's what you get for letting Hog in as imposters to the SEC.

Yet, the East was not as punished ... mainly because it makes sense to a certain degree that Chicken should be part of the SEC, and this pleased the football gods.

Hence, SEC-East was not as punished, and Jort Nation and Banjo Boys were rewarded. Dawg, closely associated with Barn, had to suffer, unfortunately.

SEC-West continued to be punished until football gods could no longer tolerate Thug U, Pedophile St. U, Buckeye Nation, Land Thieves, and their ilk.

Thus began a string of dominance begun in 2003, with slight breaks to give cookies to USC (to mock Chicken) and Texas (because football gods hate little brother Aggie).

Then, SEC did the unthinkable and unforgivable by letting in Aggie and Mizzou ... unworthy imposters if there ever were any, and this greatly displeased the football gods.

This happened in 2012, which also marked the end of SEC (west, specifically) dominance.

The football gods are so angered not so much at the imposters Aggie and Mizzou, but more at SEC for allowing them in.

This explains the real SEC, including the perennial powers, losing in embarassing fashion this bowl season.

This also explains the resignation of Orville Redenbacher Slive ... who knows he sold his soul to the Devil (i.e. "pulled a Bama") when he allowed Aggie and Mizzou to join a conference for which they have no business joining.

As further mockery and punishment, the football gods made sure that Aggie, Mizzou, Hog, and Chicken all won their bowl games this season, albeit vs. shite teams.

SEC is merely reaping what it has sown. Deal with it.
