Yes, we haven't been as sharp as previous years. However, if you look at the following it does make sense. We don't have the continuity that other schools have. We've lost a lot of players in the past 2 years. I knew it was a lot but I didn't know the total was this large. 2013 = huge number of draft picks. 2014 = huge number of underclassmen leaving. Our LSU friends can attest :(

Conference.......2013 NFL Draft Picks
SEC East...........32
SEC West..........31
ACC.................31
Pac-12.............28
Big 12..............22
Big Ten............22
Big East............8
Mountain West.7
MAC.................7
Sun Belt............4

Conference........2014 NFL Draft Picks
SEC....................49
ACC...................42
Pac-12:..............34
Big Ten:.............30
Big 12................17

2 year total:
SEC.................112 NFL Draft Picks
ACC............73 NFL Draft Picks
PAC-12.......62 NFL Draft Picks
Big Ten.......52 NFL Draft Picks
Big 12.........39 NFL Draft Picks

Talent wise we can definitely keep up with any conference. However, scheming can triumph new starters.

Great thread. I was watching Bama last night and wondering if the NFL draft was one of the reasons the SEC was down a little the last two years. Good work!
