Whether or not its true, we see Hamm as a homer, kind of like Josh Newberg on the FSU site. Newberg finds ways to make it sound like every Bama commit offered by FSU is an imminent flip. So when Newberg says that chances are slim with one of our guys, then things must be really out there because Newberg is typically more positive about fsus chances.

When Hamm doesn't sound overly confident, and he's seen as a homer, then things must not look good for tamu with Sheffield.

Obviously I'd rather get all 3, but if A&M gets Boyd and Hill only, I'll be extremely happy.

Kyler Murray reaffirmed his commitment and he and Sheffield spoke on the phone tonight. Lots of smoke about a flip over the last few days.

I tried to warn you Bammers. I tried so hard.

So Sheffield didn't commit to TAMU when Kyler was there to begin with, but now that he has reaffirmed his commitment, Sheff will flip?

Either way, Sheffield won't be coached up much as a DC at Bama or Aggie. Tony Brown?

Let me introduce you to Landon Collins. You may have heard his name before. He didn't have a starting job until halfway through his sophomore year, but he is a first round lock his junior year.

But yeah, let's write off Tony Brown after one year of not playing much

You can't fix stupid.

Milliner started as a freshman for us. Barron, Kirkpatrick, Jackson, Collins, and clinton-dix didnt. Look at them. Brown is going to be a first rounder. Its rare for a freshman to start for an elite SEC defense

I think Jackson did with Ro in '07, for obvious reasons.

Because he is a bit of a liability in pass coverage, and every draft analyst will tell you the same thing.

I'm a big fan of Landon though and want the 'Boys to draft him

The poster above was referring to Tony Brown not being a first round draft choice based on him not starting his first year. I don't know if TB will be a first round choice or not, but it is stupid to assume that he won't be because he didn't play much his freshman year. Several other players have been taken in the first round without starting their freshman year.

I agree though that LC is a monster against the run but a liability in pass coverage.

Its not that he didn't play much. Its that he was the starter and got benched because he couldn't get it done. Guy got burned more often than marshmallows over a campfire.

But yea, let's go ahead and reserve his spot in the first round.
