Can't let you get away with this because at yall are almost 3 deep at every position with 5 star players at the least 4..

And we've been averaging 12 wins a season since our first #1 recruiting class (2008), have won the SEC 3 times, and the national championship 3 times.

We have a record of 86-11 (.887) since that time.

You can't go 14-0 every single year. The parity in college football is just too great.

Saban has some kind of damn mind control over these kids... He's put a good amount of people in the NFL and that's a good recruiting tool, but i bet there are 4 and 5 stars that haven't seen the field in years that could be learning and starting at other schools and going to the league.. Saban can recruit like nothing I have ever seen.. The guy should never lose a game with the last 5 classes he's gotten..

A similar argument could be made with Malzahn. How does he take a team that is preseason top ten and lose the Outback Bowl with them? Does that indicate that he is a bad coach, or that sometimes things just don't fall your way?

I wasn't talking about that specific player. Talking about Bama's #1 recruiting classes while not being close to the best team in NCAA.

It's crazy how preseason polls usually don't play out exactly correct either huh? It's almost like people are just making educated guesses. So weird.

You can't fix stupid.

Alabama has been in the title hunt in late November six out of the last seven years. Is that "not close to being the best team in the NCAA"?

Don't allow your butthurt to cloud logical thinking. Your coach just lost the Music Shitty Bowl and you are making fun of Alabama for losing the playoffs? You would have jizzed all over yourself if LSU were in the playoffs this year.

They have been proven overrated twice now in the post-season. Yes, we know the rest of the SEC is worse but Bama is getting out-played in against teams that people like you would laugh at during the season. Make all the excuses you want but either Bama's recruiting classes are overrated or they are getting outcoached.

In case you haven't noticed the tide have been humiliated in bowls two years in a row. You are declining along with the rest of us despite having top rated classes?

A decline is a steady downward slope. By definition, then, if Bama was declining our record should be worse than it was last year. That is simple math. Which record is better? 11-2 or 12-2. Winning tSECCG or not playing for tSECCG?

On the other hand, I'll give you a steady downward slope.
-SEC Champs. Plays for BCSCG, loses.
-Two losses in regular season. Loses Chicken Bowl.
-Three losses in regular season. Wins Outback Bowl with a putrid performance by a qb
-Four losses in regular season. Loses Music Shitty Bowl

That team has gone from being a contender in November (2011 and 2012) to not having a real shot at doing anything without everyone losing (2013 and 2014)

The difference between you and I is that I don't take my self-esteem from the accomplishments of 18-22 year olds. I enjoy watching my team play win or lose and I was an LSU fan before winning regularly even seemed possible.

So your "No, you!" response doesn't shake me. Bama has lost their last two bowls in a row. The nation will be far less willing to send them to a third high end bowl if this continues.

Like I said, make all the excuses you want and finger point all you want. Won't change what has happened. Bama has depended on public perception in part for their success. All teams in college have to.

You can't refute my points, so you take a shot at my character. Nice one.

You didn't answer my question. Is 11-2 or 12-2 a better record?

You've lost touch with reality if you think this is true.

Where did I say that Alabama hasn't had to have a boost in perception?

I didn't take a shot at your character. I made the observation that your "points" amounted to "But but but! LSU is worse!"

Kinda hard to continue the conversation at hand at that point.

That isn't a shot at my character?

This is the third time I have addressed this point. You said "decline" which means a trend downward. Is going from 11-2 to 12-2 a downward trend? Yes or no.

On the other hand, I was showing what a team that really is declining looks like. I gave you an example of going from zero regular season losses, to two, then to three, and finally at four is a decline. That is what a decline looks like.

Based on your response, I think you view the accomplishments of your team relative to mine as some sort of personal accomplishment or insult towards me. You can play coy if you want but lets not be too disingenuous, huh?

No, I don't. You said Alabama was declining. I told you that was impossible based on record. I then gave you an example of a team that is declining from a numbers perspective.

I don't understand why this is so hard for you. I don't feel superior because of what my university's team has accomplished. I am simply challenging you to be logical.

You are acting like you came up with the Theory of Relativity when your only point was "LSU is worse."

In any case, have a happy Saturday.

Funny Sheffield thinks he has a better chance for early playing time at Bama han A&M. That was always what he wanted.

His dad and KS himself put on a good front and I think it was much more about education and experience of coaches at the end of the day

My point is that going from 11-2 to 12-2 is not a decline.

Now, I'd be more inclined to respect your argument if you were to say that Alabama appears to be stagnant and unable to break through that glass ceiling these last couple of years. I would also agree with that perspective.
