I'd say it's a crap shoot, just like with any 18 year old. Mizzou was definitely the leader at one and probably still is at this point. He visited tOSU and FSU seem to be making a push. Not sure he's visiting any others. Auburn put a push on but as far as I know, he hasn't planned a visit. Same for LSU though I haven't heard much of them as of late.

Already visited FSU.
Visiting tOSU like next weekend or the weekend after that.
Mizzou visit the last weekend in January.

How Daylon Mack is not the number one DT is beyond me. I see Beckner listed as 1 DT but Mack is an animal.

Beckner played DE mostly in high school, but did also play a lil DT.

Auburn getting a visit now on the 16th I believe.

tOSU on the 23rd.

Mizzou on the 30th.

But the biggest player might just be Bama. Thanks to you gumps losing, tOSU may be celebrating a NC on the 23rd and Beckner may well slide to them.

I don't think he's saying he is going to Bama. think he meant them losing to osu helped there cause

We've got a little bit of a shot now that he's visiting on the 16th. That's going to be a monumental weekend for us (6 five star visitors scheduled) so maybe we can pull some magic. But still, I don't think we'll be able to overtake the guys who have had his attention the whole time

He almost committed to Missouri this past spring/summer. I would be surprised if he didn't end up there.

Mizzou is the heavy favor, but that also doesn't mean much when it comes to 18YO's. He grew up a mizzou fan, and several of his close friends and teammates play at mizzou.

I didn't mean in the sense of landing Beckner. I meant in influencing where he goes by losing to tOSU, thereby putting tOSU in the NC game and if they win the NC game, they are going to be all over Beckner celebrating it and telling him how a STL kid lead the way to the NC.

Had Bama beaten tOSU, they'd be home whining about the loss and would be a dark horse for Beckner.

And he likes the idea of his family being able to drive 2 hours to watch his games.

Are there any quotes saying OSU winning the championship might affect his decision?

No but c'mon. These are 18 year old kids. And winning a national championship is kind of a big deal and creates an upbeat atmosphere. Y'all can show him the trophies, but they'll be celebrating one is all I'm saying and I think that that would tend to make his visit a bit more memorable and enjoyable.

Part of what hes talking about is Tosu running back Zeke Elliot is also from STL, and with osu winning against bama thats 1 step closer to the NC(what every HS kid wants to play for).

I'll be an extremely happy camper if you're telling me national championships don't matter to recruits.
