OSU and Oregon wouldn't be in BCS championship game

Goes to show how good the playoff is for college football in my opinion.

The biggest benefit of the playoff can be boiled down to this: Oregon and Ohio State, the teams that earned their way into the Jan. 12 national championship game, would likely have met in the Rose Bowl on Thursday. Both teams would have ended their seasons, the winner never knowing whether it could have won it all.
If the BCS were still in place, the system almost certainly would have spat out Alabama and Florida State in the top two spots.

Will be the most exciting NC game in a while.

TCU being left out was kind of a travesty.

What about TCU and Baylor, though?

Makes you think about teams that got left out in the past.

Waiting for 8 team playoff. 5 conference champs + 3 wild cards.

Oregon going in full jumbo. Last night's game was just to decide who the victim would be.

They have a case, and I think the playoff will eventually be 6-8 teams - the games yesterday set all kinds of records and the money this thing is going to make is huge.
I'm content for now though.

End the championship games. Play a round before Christmas.

This may be the 10 or 11 thread on this subject. Maybe we can start another one on how Bama needs SEC refs to win to mix it up a little.

Sorry. I've only been on the board a few hours the past couple of days and not at all since the start of the bama game.
And at least I'm not giving you guys a hard time about OSU.

Wish they would have started it next year because it would have been a Bama - FSU BCSCG and I think Bama could beat FSU

Not your fault. But yes it has been brought up over and over and im salty because we would have won a title this year with the BCS. The playoffs, however, will be a great thing for CFB.

Sir, there is only one jumbo.

They got it right. Alabama was great at times, but in the end wasn't good enough. On to next year.
