He and Brick Haley (DL) are tight and the most likely candidate. Raymond (DB) is a LSU alum, so not likely. Are Yall hearing anything on this?

Haley may get let go or shuffled around. There's a desire for Ed Orgeron to become the DL coach, especially if we can hire Pendergast for DC.

Haley isn't getting let go. He just signed an extension. I think he is at LSU unless he leaves with Chavis.

But I was asking Aggies if they are hearing anything on their side.

We're bringing in Les Miles as Clock Management and Timeout Specialist.

Assistant coach buyouts are not much. If A&M really wanted him they could pony up and buy him out. Regardless of extension. You're right in saying if he leaves itd only be with Chavis

I think he is gonna roll by the end of the weekend. Local talk guys think so too.

Which is perfect cause we can get Orgeron in as DL coach but mainly for recruiting purposes, and then get Pendergast in.

Would be a home run hire.

tantal, just look at the record this coach you mock has against you. Seems he's managed the clock quite well, thank you very much.

Thanks for a legit answer, trident.

I didn't want this to become a pissing match LSU/a&m thread, but oh well.

A&M will money whip Cam Cameron to work with the walk-ons. Need a good 3rd offensive unit to run out the clock in blow outs.

Haley's gone. Just not official. Coach O to replace.

Obviously going to be a Chavis selection. We did hear that Haley signed an extension but that was done a week or two before their bowl game. Not 100% sure he signed or if there is an out in the contract. Lots of bad information on this board with respect to LSU coaches coming/going and the status of their contracts.

If Chavis wants him and Haley wants to go, I would expect LSU to let him walk or A&M will gladly buy out his remaining contract. Chavis basically has free reign and an open checkbook (as he should have) to bring in the people he wants.

Agreed. Word is all assistants signed their extensions except for Chavis. That was the word even last week. Brick and Chavis are very tight, so I could easily see this move. I think LSU would let Brick go with the expectation of bringing in Ed O at DL.

We took Speedy - stud

We took Chavis - LSU's best x and o coach on staff

We have always taken their women - duh

We will take Haley - LSU's best recruiter

We might as well just start building casino's in Texas and shut down the whole state of Louisiana - checkmate

geaux Aggies!

We have always taken their Cheer Boy wanna-bes - duh

We will take Haley - LSU's fourth best recruiter

We can't start building casino's in Texas because it violates state law .

geaux Aggies-with a little luck we can beat LSU once a decade.

All those off the field accomplishments are really good. I think that at least merits some sort of trophy.
