5 west teams lose bowl game while we win ours in convincing fashion. literally couldn't set up any better (A&M loss would've been cool but with us beating Texas they are happy for us so no animosity)

the years of abuse from the rest of the division is going to make for a fun and enjoyable offseason on the SEC rant.

About time. It has been a little challenging to keep the wind in the sails over the past few seasons. I welcome the steady breeze

You know they can dish it out, but can't take it.

Favorite deflections so far:

Texas wasn't good anyway
Spaight and Flowers are gone
Lsu and Ole Miss were bad
Bowl games are meaningless
Arky happy about 7-6, etc.

Any other good ones?

Don't forget the guy who said Arkansas will never finish better than third in the west.

edit: it was an Ole Miss fan IIRC

that one chaps my butt more than any- i despise that attitude of 'we didn't care'. if you don't care, then don't play or be a fan, it's pretty simple.

TCU should have been in the playoffs.

Chavis told the team he was leaving on the bus ride to the stadium.

If the teams didn't care, you would see them treated as a spring game with plenty of reps for the 2nd and 3rd stringers.

You don't see that...

The Landmass schools are miffed because if Arkansas (and the Aggies) are better next year then the middle of the SEC West turns into a shootout in a phone booth. Everybody gets some blood on them.

The Alabama schools are worried that they'll pick up some in conference losses that knock them out of playoff consideration.

LSU just hates the world right now in general and us in particular because after 17-0 they couldn't lie to themselves about how the season was going to go.

that and the fact that long's flirt with less before bb was hired caused their ad to extend less' contract. hehe

Yeah Miles' buyout is huge now and he's under contract until 2019. Even if they wanted to fire him next year, they would have to pay him $13 million.

The contract he renegotiated when Arkansas was "courting" him is ridiculous. His buyout before this year was $18 million.

He can't go anywhere now. His buyout is too big for anyone to hire him and it's also too big for Lsu to fire him.
