Do you guys ever feel like being a fan isn't worth it?

Honestly, besides 2009 with the Saints I've been kicked in the balls more times between them, the Pelicans/Hornets, Cajuns, and Dawgs than ever feel real satisfaction. Sometimes I just wonder if it's worth the aggravation and shitty mood it puts me in. Maybe it's just the hangover/loss hangover talking.

It's the ball kicking that make the wins that much sweeter. My dad is a life long Red Sox fan. He watched he's beloved team rip his heart out over and over. When they won it all in 2004, it was one of the happiest days of his life. You take the bad with the good, because the good is fricking awesome.

that is true, 2009 was incredible. the flip side of that is the expectations that follow and kind of ruin things from there on. i'm sure Bama fans know that feel.

Yup. Getting spoiled after a title sucks. Then you suck and you give up (but not really)
Then you win big again and its amazing because you weren't expecting it.

This. 2014 NBA Finals were so much more satisfying after getting my heart broke in 2013.
Totally worth it.

You should probably pick a better team in at least one of those leagues

To me, sports is only entertainment. I'm either entertained or I'm not. I try not to get personally invested. At least not too much.

I've never been a pro sports fan growing up about 4 hours from the nearest one in any sport. I am an Auburn fan because I went there, otherwise I probably wouldn't give a shite about any team in college ranks. So, for me, being a fan is totally worth it because I love the school, not a team.

Tennessee fan, have suffered more than you'll ever know. But I cannot wait until I get to be the most obnoxious son of a bitch to ever grace the SECr.
You motherfrickers have no idea what is about to hit you, a Big Orange Tsunami. Prepare thy anuses.

I feel that the highs aren't as fun as much as the lows hurt.
But I stopped taking it so seriously once I realized that.

Yeah, getting personally invested makes the highs more worthwhile, but if it gets to the point where the losses completely ruin your week, it's probably time to take a step back.

I'm a Kentucky, Redskins, Capitals, Braves, and Hawks fan. I live in sports hell.

Even after all the years that Tennessee has sucked lately I've never really thought about giving up, so I guess the answer is no
All I know is when we finally turn it around and accomplish something worthwhile Its gonna be glorious

No, never feel that it isn't worth it. Being a Hog fan is like breathing; just a fact of life, regardless of the utter shite we go through sometimes. ... When we finally turn the corner & get on the right track, it makes all the shite worth it.
