You could have shortened this title by just typing "Yankee SEC schools"

We wear more clothing than wife beaters. It keeps us warm.

14 years in Indianapolis and I will NEVER get used to this shite. Snow is great when it first falls...after 6 weeks of the SAME snow turning into dirty ice and never melting, it is intolerable.

Drink a few beers, or hell, have a flask on you at all times. Usually gets you warm quick

Legend - wife asked about going further north to look for snow. Told her she can take the car and I will stay here in the RV and bring me back a cup of snow when she finds some lol

I like the seasons. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I didn't get to experience any "snow activities" that required a few inches to actually stick around for a little while. And I love getting to see the leaves change colors in the Fall. But having weeks and weeks of subfreezing temperatures without a break, and only getting to use the neighborhood pool from Memorial Day to Labor Day...not cool.

Wait, your wife wanted to drive north to find snow? Do yall think it becomes exponentially colder with every mile north of Memphis? There's this thing called precipitation. You need it for snow to be "found," unless it's absurdly cold and it just stays. Snow does my just sit around anywhere south of Mr. Mason and Mr. Dixon's line. You'll see her in a day or two if she actually wanted to do this.

Edited to add: you're a pussy. Oh, and I guess snow could stick in southern mountains, but that won't be soon.

Because I feel sorry for you, I'll help you out.

Step 1. Stop being a poor and buy a nice coat. I'd recommend a Beaufort (get the liner)
Step 2. Stop being a poor and buy a scarf.
Step 3. Drink bourbon.
Step 4. Never be cold again.

Let's see:

No fire ants;
No killer bees;
No alligators to carry off our dogs and cats;
No mosquitoes big enough to frick a turkey standing flat-footed;
Fewer illegal aliens to spit in our drinks at fast food joints.

What's not to like?

We do have mountain lions, Black bears and elk now, however :-)
