From 2001 to now has been a lot of fun. Most people can only dream about being able to witness such success and experiencing two national titles while in college. CFB success is cyclical, and I just hope the down cycle doesn't last longer than it should. 1/9 was the beginning of the end. It isn't just that we lost that day, but it was the way that we lost. Les refusing to try anything different and never moving the ball past the 50. As much as I have liked and supported the man, he is very stubborn. We are about to lose our best coach to a divisional rival because they are willing to pony up more money and a better contract, we have no QB for the future, and we are going to once again lose juniors to the NFL who shouldn't declare, and some recruits will follow Chavis to A&M. 2015 is going to be a rough year on the bayou, as will be the remaining years of the Les Miles era

Here is to hoping we make some good hires in the coming years

You are exceedingly late to this party, but welcome anyway.

We'd already come to this conclusion.

Best wishes.

The further you guys are removed from Saban the further you are from success.

I love all the tDecline talk of the offseason for Alabama, but it was LSU that the decline was real for.

LSU will be back at some point, it's cyclical, as they say. 5 years, 10 years, 15 years I can't say, but they will be back.

Anybody who believed that is a fricking idiot. Saban is the best college coach of all time. That program isn't going anywhere until he hangs it up in 5 years or so

Alabama had 11 NCs before Saban from 4 different coaches.

We wont have the success like he's having but we will be fine.

If Saban never arrived, you would be a less prestigious version of Ole Miss. At times, college football is cyclical, and at times it isn't. LSU in the 2000s is an example of an anomaly, not an up-cycle. The sooner you accept that falling arse backwards in to Saban is the only thing that ever, or will ever, bring you success. The happier you'll be.

Nah, Saban broke us on 1/9. He has also taken some program changing recruits away from Louisiana to Alabama and will continue to do so
