..or does LSU throw $ at him?

Chavis and his defense is the main reason LSU has been competitive; their offense has blown for a long time now. I don't know what LSU's financial situation is but their AD should absolutely not let Chavis get away.

LSU should fire The Hat and promote Chavous to HC

Honestly, they should go after Orgeron if they get the chance...recruiting stud and a pretty good defensive coach.

My guess is LSU will go after Mattison

LSU spends $2 m more a year on assistant coaches than UGA does... I imagine they will be able to get some good folks

No doubt. I just say Mattison because he's a 4-3 guy with ties to Miles through Michigan and he's got a great reputation.
I doubt they'll want to change much schematically. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I could also see them making a run at Venables from Clemson.

Does it mean now LSU coming after Pruitt?

They spend $2m more on assistants than we do and the guy who left them was making $1.3.
Not saying they will, but I imagine they won't be looking for a way to save on the pay roll...

Great...what Div 1 teams DONT have more money to spend than we do?
At least we'll know then who we don't need to worry about it the DC spot comes open....

I'm hearing $1.5m for Pruitt, from LSU.
Some incentives in that number.

He's only 40.
He has zero connections to UGA now that Friend left.
They are going to double his pay.

That would be pretty short sighted of him and make him look like a real job hopper imo. If he stays the course his name is going to be kicked around for a few damn good HC jobs I would imagine. In the next year or two

Go wikipedia up some of your favorite coaches, some of the most successful coaches you can think of.
All of them have periods of their lives in their 30's and 40's where they had 5 or 6 jobs over the course of 7 or 8 years.
That's the stage Pruitt is in.
He's got a chance to build a brand as a turnaround artist for defenses.
This would absolutely be a huge rise up the ladder for Pruitt whether you see it or not.
And his agent is telling him the same thing for that 15%... and his agent is a very persuasive man.
Unless you think McGarity is going to give him a raise to $1m or $1.2m and I know you don't think that.
