Cops are Heros and they protect us.

Did I say Cop or Police Commissioner? If you are going to stir things up how hard is it for you to read my post?

If 40K Cops can take the time and our tax dollars to speak out about these Cops death they need to speak out about the corruption and abuse of power in their ranks.

Maybe some of the people that are rioting and protesting about the corruption and power in the police ranks should talk about the good that they do, too? It goes both ways. Everybody wants the cops to all hang their heads when one bad cop does something wrong...but why doesn't everybody stand up and pat them on the back every time they do something good? Are there problems out there? Yes. Are there some bad cops out there? yes. but why paint all the cops as killers and haters when the vast majority of them are out there wanting to protect us?


By the way...105 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty in 2013.

I will do my best to honestly answer the questions I feel where directed at me.

1. Do I think all Cops are bad?

I find this line of questioning to be most un-useful to the national dialogue. I'm sure there were many fine fellows who were Nazi's during The Third Reich. Colonel Von Stauffenberg and many others even tried to kill Hitler. However this doesn't make them any less guilty by association.

So like wise no I do not think all Cops are "Bad". I will think all Cops are guilty by association until they learn to eat their own very publicly like the Military and don't go around killing people who do not "stop resisting" or "respect my authority". If RICO charges are good enough for civilians they are good enough for Cops.

2. Why doesn't everybody stand up and pat them on the back every time they do something good?

Are you f'in kidding me? Turn on a TV, go to a bar, a sporting event etc. Cops are constantly getting sucked off. We treat our police like they cured cancer or invented a time machine.

3. Why paint all the cops as killers and haters when the vast majority of them are out there wanting to protect us?

Protect us? Dude The SCOTUS ruled Police have none, zero, zip responsibility to protect us. Go on Facebook and read the forum Survive The Streets or Policeone.com and tell me Cops give 2 shits about protecting anyone. All I read is "Us vs Them" and "whatever I have to do to make it home".


By the way...The FBI cataloged all but about 30 of those deaths the fault of the cop who died. Mostly car accidents.

And Cop / LEO doesn't even crack the top ten of dangerous jobs.

These people put their lives on the line for the safety of the public, and this country is full of ungrateful douchebags. Are there some corrupt police? Sure there are. But they're good for the most part and they will protect people like you even if you openly mock them.

What other option do you have? Doesn't mean that we can't criticize them and demand better of them than the corruptness that they have shown in many different cases.
