Anyone starting to wonder if perhaps UCLA was overrated in the preseason polls? I'm getting a vague sense that might have been the case.

I didn't think they were ranked. They lost 3 NBA first rounders.

They were ranked when UK played them, so maybe they worked their way into the rankings after the season started.

They definitely weren't ranked when they played UK. They climbed into the very bottom of the rankings really early, maybe 4 or 5 games, then lost their next game and haven't been ranked since.

Too lazy to look it up, so I'll take your word for it. I just remembered (obviously mistakenly) that they were ranked in the 20s around that time and UK knocked them out.

I just looked it up. They started the season around 28th or 29th in the AP poll, moved up to 22nd in their 4th week of the season, lost 2 games to Oklahoma and UNC, and fell out of the rankings
