I don't understand the reasoning behind this at all. What it ( a big what if) we had won the game. The entire week ESPN, Fox Sports, etc. wouldv'e been running stories 24/7 about "sources" telling Mort/Shefter that Smith is as good as gone, etc. shite like this is the sign of piss poor management and truly a lack of respect for what Mike Smith and the current players have done for the organization.

If they were dead set on firing the guy why wait until the most important game of the season? Why not fire him after the debacle in London? Why waste any more time doing the song and dance when they already had their minds made up?

Also IF we had won, I understand that the players would have said that all their focus is on the upcoming game etc. but there is no way it would be humanly possible to tune out all the bullshite that the media would be coming at them with for the entire week. It would be a circus that Jerry Jones would have been proud to be the ring leader at. I am disgusted that Arthur Blank chose to go this route, I thought that he had more class than to pull a chicken shite stunt like this.
