Michigan landing the huge name in Harbaugh just proved that it's a better job than Florida right now. Mcelwayne is an underwhelming hire. Just admit it Florida fans.
Michigan
Pros:Easy schedule. Nice uniforms. Great facilities. Tradition rich. You don't have to play Saban. Expectations are not as high and are easily attainable.
Cons:Michigan on a downward trend lately. Recruit against Urban Meyer.
Florida
Pros:Great weather and scenery. Great facilities. Good talent pool in state.
Cons:2 other big football schools to compete with in state. Difficult schedule. Tighter leash on coaching expectancy than most other schools. You have to play Saban 8/10 more than likely, either meeting him on the schedule or in the SEC title game.

Little early to judge isnt it ?
He's already making progress on the recruiting trail with some of the top talent in the state of Florida... Hate to say it, but I'm glad your father is dying and isnt here to see this, Larry.

Thank god the highly controversial Florida vs Michigan debate has finally reached a decisive conclusion.

The best jobs are the 8 historic superpowers: Michiagan Ohio State Oklahoma USC Texas Nebraska Notre Dame and Alabama. This will not change in our lifetime.

You claim to be an Alabama fan, but spell it McElwayne??
Way to out yourself, boog.

Worthless thread. Florida has a ton more talent.

Gator fans are known for being an impatient bunch. They will be running him out the door in 4 years. Foley needed a home run hire like Michigan but couldn't pull it off.

Beg to differ. It will never be an elite program on a consistent basis again.

How do you know McElwayne is not the next Urban or Saban?

Replace Nebraska with UF. Georgia, LSU, and Oregon are also elite coaching jobs if all 3 can maintain success into the future and through their next coaching hires.

If he is than congrats to future him but odds are not in his favor.

You realize Michigan is Harbaughs alma mater right?
Without that factor, I dont think you see Jim Harbaugh in the college game period. even then, I dont think he will be at UM more than 5 years before going back to the pros. By coaching in the B1G, he can be an immediate dominant force with only tOSU/Meyer as his competition. In the SEC, he has multiple great teams and coaches to deal with. Not as good a position to negotiate a contract from to go back to the NFL

No where near the discussion. Haven't even won a title.

JH is in Ann Arbor less then 4 years until a Super Bowl contender gig opens up.

GTFO. UGA, Oregon, and LSU jobs will be sought after if availae. The recruiting base is too sweet.

We are talking about the jobs themselves. Comprehension 101 must not be offered at whatever community college you got your associates from.

If titles were the only indicator, Bama would be the best job. Which it isn't.
