Don't fall for the troll people. Harbaugh isn't even "active" anyway.

Shitty troll job as usual from phatty

You have to put Butch in there somewhere. I mean winning 6 games with the youngest team in the history of college football while playing the toughest schedule in 3 decades undoubtedly puts him in rarified air.......

Could go multiple directions with this but intent is obvious.

It's really just a compliment to Bamas self sustainability. No, not every coach could win there. And Sabah certainly deserves the top spot from hardware alone.

I guess I just wanted to be a dick. List is shite without Sourrier though

Muschamp couldn't win at UF, arguably an easier place to succeed than Bama if you are a half decent coach. Will recruited well but no one there improved under him. I don't think anyone, short of Jimmy Johnson, that could do what Saban has done in the last six years.

Spurrier certainly ranks all-time but I took the OP to mean right now.

How many of Bama's coaches won an NC in two years?

None of those guys had the talent and resources Saban has. Seriously Saban gets the #1 recruiting class every year and a blank check to run the "football department" however he wants. It's hard not to succeed under those circumstances. Granted, he deserves credit for building that machine, and that's a big part of what makes a great college coach, but on a level playing field, who knows...

I like how you think #1 recruiting classes just fall in his lap

Not a crazy list when talking about gameday coaching. Not sure about Briles though.

Patterson or Harbaugh with LSUs talent would burn a swath through college football.
