I worked with Bobby Livingston for Performance Contractors on a project in Kemper county Miss, he was a Ironworker/ rigger in 2012 2013.... Bobby was a good guy but he had major issues in his past and his present life. Bobby had stickers on his hard hat that said KING SABAN lol he was a GUMP to the highest level.... He got into an argument with another crew over use of a crane and pulled a knife out ( witnessed it ) he was fired and banned from Performance as well as all of Southern Companies plant facilities.... We lived in the same apt complex in Meridian Mississippi and I helped him pack up b4 he went home to Bama. I was friends with him on Facebook and when the news broke about A&M several of the guys called and talked with him about what happened. Bobby told us that the administration went to the company bosses and banned the guys from wearing Bama shirts and flying Flags off the cranes ( if true or not I don't know ) so him and cpl other guy's hung the flag up as a joke to piss em off. It worked and he lost his job and place in the union. He said no one sabatoged anything, he was fired because he was an idiot. He committed suicide at his girlfriend's home. Bobby had addiction problems as well as women issues. I say all of this not to bad mouth him, or to put his personal life on display but to hopefully put an end to all the ridiculous and wild rumors that have been floating around. Its a truly tragic and sad story..... Now with all that said the cliff notes version is.... A gump went all Updyke and showed the rest of us what it means to HAVE TO MUCH BAMA IN HIM!! Rip Bobby....

Come on man. The guy was obviously some good ole boy redneck construction worker without a lot going for him. He was stupid to make facebook jokes but didn't hurt anyone. Every fan base has these types and there is no need in gloating about his suicide. You are making yourself look like a "nut job."

I laughed. People that kill themselves get no sympathy from me period. I work in a profession where I see the act and the results it has on family and friends. Selfish cowards.

I know all fan bases have their crazies, but doesn't Bama seem to have more of these nut jobs than anyone else? Some of those people need to learn how to seperate a game played by 18-23 year olds and real life.

The way he thought was probably the same as most of the other workers, he's just the only one vocal about it.

Sad story. If he could have posted anonymously, he name wouldn't have been ruined with employers.

A pox on WKRG for dusting off a non-current story and recycling it just to stir the pot and get clicks for its web page.

"Journalism," my backside.

Long term solution to short term problems. There's always something more in this life. Never get hung up in situations that you can walk away from. And you can walk away from anything. Wait til God brings you home.

Not sad, but I wish he hadn't. I'd much prefer an American had popped his head off from about 200 yards out.

I agree. Usually there are other underlying problems though, his publicized shenanigans were probably just part of the problem.

I seriously doubt his flag hanging and internet postings kept him from getting work, something else was going on.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for people who kill themselves. How very selfish.
