That was Louisville's biggest home game in years and Kentucky made them look foolish.

We watched different games (or halves).

Looked like a bricklayer's convention to me.

Good defenses though.Didn't watch second half though.

Did you see the shots Louisville players were taking? They looked ridiculous trying to score. Kentucky had trouble scoring too but that had more to do with turnovers caused by uncalled fouls.

Most talented team ever does not have 10 turnovers first half and score just 22. Just sayin....

If this UK teams loses a conference game Cal should be fired. No pressure.

76 Hoosiers?

That was a great team ... but it was also a magical year for Indiana.

They had that big monster center ... and they had that great shooting guard, wish I could remember both their names. Benson, Buckner, Bender maybe?

Bobby Knight was in his prime.

But this Kentucky team would mudhole that Hoosier team.

Now, that Walton led UCLA team ... they were very very good. Eight of those guys played in the NBA.

It's one game, on the road at their arch rival's place. This is their first single-digit win all year.

Really hard to compare. Players today are way more athletic than players from 40 years ago.

Larry Bird however provided you don't have to be the most athletic to be the best.

Bird was athletic ... he just looked awkward at times in the process.

But he made up for a lot of things with his vision and smarts and competitiveness. Plus he had one of the prettiest jumpers ever.

The only thing missing from this current Kentucky team are a couple of smooth savvy white boys to balance things.

Auburn pretty bad this year huh?

Yall were so excited before the season started.

We are probably better than texas A&M this season. It's still an exciting season for us and it's obvious that the future is a lot brighter with Pearl than it would have been so that's exciting.

Phi Slamma Jamma never won a title. Talented, not the deepest.

UNC got beat by IU in sweet 16.

UNLV went on a roll and lost to Duke in semi finals.

It's the best defensive team I've probably seen in my lifetime. I'd have no problem arguing that.

But their offense isn't complete enough to say they're the most talented team ever. '96 was probably more well rounded at this point. But if this team can go undefeated and win a championship they certainly deserve to be in the conversation.

Louisville will very likely be an Elite Eight team at worst.

KY's guard play isn't up to par with elite all time CB teams. The Ulis/Booker combo is more effective than the Harrisons as far as shot creation and floor spacing are concerned. What sets UK apart is their absolutely ridiculous length and athleticism in the front court. There's not a team in college basketball who can match up with their bigs.

I think they go 39-1 or 38-2 and win the chip. Someone will get hot from 3 and drop them in conference play. But once the tournament rolls around, it's off to the races.

And before Walton, when a team can go into any arena assured that one player is going to get 25-30 points, it has to be considered close to the top.

That is what UCLA did with Alcindor (Kareen Abdul-Jabbar).

Still, this year's Kentucky team may be in the top three or four. Certainly got me wanting to watch them.

And, as a footnote, Jabbar, Walton or Russell, up in SF, would have started for anybody before or since.

The great Issel, and I do mean great, would have played behind any of the three. That or moved to power forward.
