He's not that type of man or coach.

He's earned the right to choose how he goes-out of the game. When he does finally take his leave, he'll be missed far more than the other two you cited.

I truly believe next year we will be at least an 8-4 team with the defense we should field. It will also be his swan song.

The poster makes sense. But there coaches nobody can get rid of, and Spurrier is one of these. He is in the rarefied air of Coaches Bryant, Jordan, Vince Dooley (though he knew his end was in sight), etc.

Not that we would want to get rid of Spurrier. I certainly don't.

He gets to end the season next year with Florida and Clemson at home.

I agree, next season may be his last but who knows?
