No way he plays in this game.
More people are confirming that he got into a fight (which would explain the black eye and busted blood vessel in his eye) and is "suspended" (or whatever you want to call it) from practice, playing and maybe even most team functions (also missed the team banquet). He's serving out his punishment and I hope he learns from it. For those that don't know, this has been the 3rd fight he has been in since being in Auburn. The coaches may have let the first 2 slide (internal punishments it seems), but he's definitely being punished for this one. He was never "sick" or "injured".
Hope this clears up any confusion. And hopefully things get back on track with him. We need him, he's a play-maker and gives his all on the field. He sells out every play.

BTW, he IS in Tampa, FL now (confirmed by Auburn Gold Mind).
That seems like very positive news towards his relationship with the team (I don't know if the whole team usually travels or not).

I would love for him to come back. I would also hope he would learn from the experience.
If he got in this much trouble at AU, I cannot imagine if he had stayed in Louisiana.

I don't see why Gus just can't tell the truth. Gus doesn't need to tell us Duke got into a fight, but tell us he's serving punishment for a conduct related incident or something.

I can confirm Jones (the poster) was punched in both eyes and both are almost swollen shut.
