I think he was referring to the atmosphere a 1 vs 4 match up brings. That hasn't been around in a long time.

This isn't just a 1 vs 4 matchup, it's a rivalry game.

Im enjoying watching these teams- you can tell they're good of course but they have taken numerous bad shots. I feel better about us after watching them and I really would have thought I'd feel worse.

after watching this game i think we are a legit top 25 team. i think we just play down to the level of team we play for.

but i was talking more about the atmosphere

I know and I hope BWA gets back to what it was too. Sorry for switching subjects but just had to out that somewhere.

Well if we're hoping SEC teams besides UK and Florida will step up and provide opponents worth getting excited about you shouldn't hold your breath.

In the 90's you could count on Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi St. and LSU to have good teams. Ole Miss played us super tough and there was an element of rivalry with the Arkansas players that Rob Evans pulled out of C. Ark. Those guys really weren't Arkansas caliber since we were recruiting globally, but they were nice players. In the East UK was powerful as always and we had some slugfests with them.

Tennessee and Vandy also had some good teams, Florida had some teams with solid talent that never got over the hump to reach the upper level of SEC hoops. Georgia had some peaks as well.

SEC basketball is just bad very bad in this generation.
