Southern and western Virginia are fine. The closer you approach to Richmond and D.C., the worse the drivers get.

This is bullshite. The only problem with SC highways is people from Ohio and Mizzzouri on them. Yankees Go Home.

You want to see bad traffic...try driving I-5 in the Seattle/Tacoma metro.

While I won't deny, Richmond has nothing on Memphis and New Orleans, in terms of bad drivers.

South Carolina isn't a natural thoroughfare for people from Missouri, I happen to be unlucky enough to live in Virginia and chose to drive through rather than around. Not even I am infallible

So I doubt your shitty arse infrastricture problems are related to Missouri in any way

Nah. NC drivers aren't all that bad. Florida and Georgia (well, Atlanta, anyway) are much worse.

Not necessarily bad, relatively, but Texas drivers are some of the most impatient crowd I have ever met.

You would be in a hurry to get out of Texas too.

I grew up around NYC traffic and I won't lie... SC drivers are the dumbest MFers I've ever been exposed to.

95 southbound, guess it's everyone heading to Florida

95 has always been bad each time I've been on it through SC though

Have you ever driven in OK?

They use to park in the middle of the street, you still see this in some small towns, parallel parking in what would normally be the left turn lane.

Its I-95. It connects Miami to New York and its Christmas. You figure it out.

Because all of the interstates in S.C. still have four lanes. No six lane or eight lane interstates. S.C. interstates are simply antiquated.

Oh, and I'll stack Ohio drivers up against anybody. Literally the kings of the 65 m.p.h. in the fast lane on cruise control, and won't pull over if the freaking space shuttle is breathing down their necks.

Yeah, Missouri seems like a real paradise on the news lately. Ferguson and Berkley seem especially nice. Who would want to live in SC with slums like Charleston and Myrtle Beach.

I commute about 100 miles round trip on 95 every workday. 95 doesn't really come close to any major city in SC and the majority of people on it are out of state. I will admit that the road conditions in SC are pretty bad and impatient drivers+bad roads= a lot of wrecks. I'd be all for a toll to fix 95. I was stuck at a stand still for r 1.5hours on the 23rd because of a horrible 1 car accident that killed 4 people from New York. On the bright side make sure you stop and fill up your tank before crossing state lines so you can take advantage of our cheap low taxed fuel.

I've seen people pull a U-turn over cement medians, left turns on red, assholes park on railroad tracks and honk at you to move into intersections at red lights so they don't get hit by a train (actually happened to me), etc

Yeah in Georgia gas prices seemed to jump up a quarter.

The poster who mentioned SC sticking with 4 lane highways and not upgrading wins. Within a mile of entering Georgia two more lanes were added and we haven't had any congestion since.
