And yet LSU is currently ranked in the Top 25 and Ark isn't. If that holds true after the bowls, you won't find many people outside of Ark that would say that Ark was better than LSU in 2014.

If you win the regular season game, you were the better team.

Signed LSU fans.

Lets not be hypocrites in this matter.

Wow...2012 was soooo long ago. You must really feel like shite when looking at what Ark has done in all sports.

Arkansas was better than LSU this year. I'm fine with that.

Doesn't change the fact that LSU has been and will continue to be a tier 1 program while Arkansas lives to play spoiler.

It's Arkansas. 6 losses in football doesn't faze them.

I never said that. But if that's true by your standards, LSU won the NC in 2011 because we did beat the Gumps during the regular season. And by your logic, you certainly wouldn't have allowed them another chance to play for the NC.

Spin, spin, spin, spin, spin.

The 2013 LSU defense was easily a top half unit - 4th in scoring defense and 3rd in total yards allowed.

Bottomline is this, as a unit and for the fifteenth god damn time, your offense was no more than an above-average unit and contributed to your losses as well.

Save the "3000 yard passer, 1400 yard rusher, 2 1000 yard receivers" spin. They were great individually but couldn't get the job done, which again hearkens to my original statement - Les Miles is not a very good football coach and is a great recruiter.

What same year? Arkansas has been a glorified C-USA school since I was born. Living and dying on 2 and 3 star kids is for the Arkansas' and North Texas' of CFB. Your state doesn't have the HS talent and the school doesn't have the reputation to ever compete in this conference. Sorry.

"Defense was the problem"

You don't think an offense that had 3 insane skill players and a future starting QB in the NFL should be able to score more than 27 points?

Hell, Auburn scored 44 on Alabama this year with a CB at QB.

It's not a spin if it's statistically correct. Fact of the matter is the defense couldn't get it done in 2013. LSU had a rough time all year defending the pass. It lost them a few games. Miles philosophy had nothing to do with it last year, as we ran a very pro style offense that worked very well. Blaming him for anything in 2013 is ignorant and at this point you're just coming across as obtuse.

LSU offense averaged 36 points in 2013. They also broke LSU records. You're ignorant.

Like this constitutes some monumental achievement on a national scale.

Delusion.

Well I didn't say national records, did I?

Yea… I'm delusional because I'm arguing with fools who think the offense was an issue in 2013 when they averaged 36 points, had 2 1000 yard receivers and a 3000 yard passer

carry on y'all

We were a screen pass away from winning the division only 2 years ago. I know Arkansas tries to erase 2012 from memory, but that year happened.

can't blame them tbh

I thought I had a rough time this year with 8-4

reading our board you'd think we had an Arkansas 2012 type year

And 2/3 losses last year were due to those star players.

Mett threw three INTs vs Ole Miss.

Beckham muffed a punt and gifted UGA a TD after the defense finally got a stop in that shootout.

In the Bama loss, the offensive line was a let down and the team never recovered after Bama converted on the fake punt in the 2nd half.

It really doesn't. It only explains why everyone is asking why LSU didn't win every game last year. That was the point of this thread...right?

List all of the defensive players that left early and are playing in the NFL today...and a logical person would say that we were significantly impacted by those early departures.

Every team every year loses players.

Its part of CFB.

Its the coaching staff's job to recruit and develop depth to replace departures, not hope they can luck into a talented group that stays all 4 years.

And to think about the amount of money LSU pays for this level of mediocrity.

You must be living in a cave. LSU has been setting records with both early departures and players that actually make rosters. Your flames are getting weaker.

LSU lost 22 juniors to the NFL since 2011. Bama is 2nd with 12.

LSU has dismissed 16 players since 2011 for conduct. I'll let you research who is second behind that.

Yea, easy for an Arkansas fan to say who has had how many early departures?

Only so many scholarships are available. I count 38 scholarships above needed to be replaced in 3 years. Hmm… They have replaced them though. Did you not see the 2014 signing class? Go check the All SEC Freshman team as a reference,

meh, LSU wins a lot of football games. A lot more than anyone else in the SEC this century not named Bama.
