Previous Game Results

Auburn 69 – Georgia 68

Birmingham News Tidbits

By the Numbers

9 -- Auburn trailed by nine points, 57-48, with just 5:08 left in the game.

17 -- Behind nine points from Antoine Mason and eight for Jordon Granger, who left with an injury in the second half, Auburn's much-maligned bench outscored Georgia's 17-15.

41.2 -- Auburn knocked down 7-of-17 3-pointers, or 41.2 percent, helping the Tigers make up for Georgia's 34-14 advantage in points in the paint.

Pearl Notes

"This is the Texas A&M hangover. Georgia went down to Texas A&M Wednesday, beat a team with an identical record, one of the best wins in the SEC this year, and they didn't quite have the same amount of energy." -- Bruce Pearl

"It's three times now in crucial situations. LSU, here at Georgia and Texas Southern earlier in the season, and we've been able to defend a crucial inbounds play." -- Bruce Pearl

"It does give you a little bit of hope, that without having Tahj, we can do this." -- Bruce Pearl

"I want to tell the fans, I'm grateful, because they haven't gotten the return on investment they thought they were getting when they brought my staff and I in, but we're going to get this program back." -- Bruce Pearl

Scoring
21- KT Harrel
9- Antoine Mason

Rebounds
Bowers- 8
Granger- 6

New to basketball. Started watching mainly because of Pearl. The lower the RPI the better right? Or do I have it reversed.

Ross please pin this. Would be nice so we can consolidate general bball discussion and have a go to thread for people who don't know much about the team

ETA: Thank you. I'll keep it updated at least weekly

I think it would be best if we use the official NCAA rpi's. It will be the one the committee uses when selection Sunday comes around.

Good idea for a thread. If you want to expand it, adding Espn BPI and KenPom rankings would be useful.
