Am I the only one that thinks Mario Cristobal is the weak link on this staff?

Line play at times has been average at best.

I'm giving him one more year before I evaluate. He brought in a great class last year, but few oline are ready to play at the college level right away.

Too many times I've seen linemen turn and watch the play instead of blocking until the whistle blows. That's coaching.

Pass blocking has improved, working with what he was given for the most part. Run blocking isn't as strong, though could be contributed to the latter.

He's done a good coaching job this year, 2015 should be a culmination of recruiting and coaching.

I'm not sure. Last year, we did not really show much of anything in terms of improvement on a week to week basis. This year, I can pretty confidently say that our line is better today than it was for WVU. CRob, Kelly, and Arie have all looked better as the season has progressed. Leon Brown is making fewer boneheaded plays. Sheppard is slightly better I guess. There is still a lot of work to be done, but the signs of improvement are there.

If we are looking for a weak link on this staff, it is Bobby Williams.

I disagree. Our special teams is our weak link. Has been for a while. I think what Mario has been able to do with a true frosh Cam and Arie has been fantastic. He is also an ace recruiter. I hope we hang on to him for a while.

Missed field goals have been an epidemic the past few years. Costing Bama games against LSU in 2011,Auburn in 2013 and Ole Miss in 2014. You could also say the inability to finish drives contributed to those. I would love for Cristobal and Williams to both go. Place kicking has been a disaster.

Donald Duck could coach Cam to be an All American. He's a freak.

I've mentioned this before but our Oline was peculiar this year. They might not be the most consistent group, but they turn it up a notch when we need to put teams away or win games, and they are good at pass blocking. Not a bad recipe for success.

Willing to sacrifice for how he recruits all positions across the board

The hire was puzzling.

Here is the thing.

The run blocking isn't as good for sure.

But our pass blocking has been excellent.

I think teams this year were going to pack the box and make Sims beat them this year.

I'm inclined to think that we just don't have the road graders on the line that we've had. There's not a Warmack or Fluker anywhere on the line. The pass blocking has been good, and the run blocking has been OK.

MC is cooking with Stoutlands groceries, and Stoutland bought some piss poor groceries. MC is a very good coach......you'll see line play improve bigtime starting in 2015 and beyond.
