Right now I would say they're 4th and in light of recent events I think they have a difficult climb beyond that ranking despite their SEC ties. What momentum they had has disappeared while Baylor has continued their accent and Texas is regaining their footing under Strong. Current rankings

1 Baylor
2 TCU
3 Texas
4 Texas A&M

The question should also be asked, if A&M can lay claim to their own state with the cache of being in the SEC what relevance will they ever have within the conference

No, no we won't because according to every Big 12 fan we left the state.

Next question.

Better part of 2 decades since a conference title.
Better part of a century since a national title.

A&M is a curiosity, and hilarious to observe, but really doesn't mean anything in the history of college football.

And if they showed an ounce of humility you'd feel sorry for them but alas

Really 5th if you consider Oklahoma which recruits TX heavily

What's a Big 12 fan?

This fan of a Big 12 team thinks you turned tail towards delusions of grandeur and the drippings from SEC football successes. But we at least know our geography.

And the answer is yes, as long as UTSA doesn't become a power.

You say this jokingly but SMU and Houston both made big offseason hires with eyes towards replacing Aggie in the Big12 sooo their road may get even harder

And don't forget about SMU hiring a former Aggie. He will tell them where we keep the keys to the helicopter and then its all over.

I don't think baylor can keep it up. TCU might be able to establish something and Texas will always be big brother to a&m.
when everything shakes out i think it will end up 1. Texas, 2. a&m 3. TCU 4. Baylor
