Saw a report on it, any truth to this?

Edit: Since apparently this is now true, how do you see it affecting your team next season?

No worries UG fans, Charlie Weis is available. I highly recommend him.

We aren't worried

Mike Bobo was taught by Coach Richt. The only issue would be the affect on our offensive recruiting. Bobo has a good history in recruiting.

I think most of us fans are more irritated with the fact our OC makes 575k when he should actually be getting paid like a real Offensive Coordinator. Rodney Garner makes more money than him.

Greg Mcgarity is about to take a lot of heat.

Is it true that Bobo has some beef with folks in the AD office?

Bobo is more than likely gone. Rumor is he’s taking O-Line Coach Will Friend will him. Huge blow on both fronts. Even more so when you see recruits start jumping, look for Godwin and Van Jefferson specifically.

I think it is good for UGA in the long run. Good audition for Bobo.

To be fair, when Richt was grooming Bobo in the early to mid 2000's, I dont think many people were that impressed. It seems since Richt has let go of the reigns a bit, Bobo has flourished the last 4-5 seasons.

Van yes, Godwin I doubt. Eason yes. Anytime a coach leaves recruiting is affected. It's part of the game.

He was trying to do way to much at the time. Richt's got a solid history as an OC and Bobo struggled at first but the last 5 years or so he has done pretty well for himself. The offense will be fine. The effect on our current recruiting class could be disastrous.

Probably the end of the road for UGA, for a while at least. Hutson Mason and Bobo kept that divided lockeroom together this past season as UGA struggled to 9 wins in the worst SEC east division in conference history. Now that both are gone and a lot of that offense staff is going, UGA is in real trouble and lacking leadership. It should be interesting to see which players leave the team/decommit.

If AU can survive the last 2 years of Gene Chizik. I have faith that we can survive losing Mike Bobo.

Thanks for your concern.

Don't get me wrong, I wish UGA the best and all. I just think losing Bobo, the most underpaid and underrated OC in conference history, is a crippling blow. Offensive recruiting just got chokeslammed. OCs aren't going to be begging for the OC job at UGA to get shite on by abusive fans and be underpaid by the athletic department.

It is what it is, man Best of luck
