Life's too short to GAF

I don't see this as a huge deal. Good for Bobo and the best of luck to him.
We will hire an outstanding replacement and keep on truckin'.
With CMR at the top our offense should be fine regardless. It's our defense I'm worried about and we hit a home run with the Pruitt hire last year so I don't understand the panic here.

Na, this is a big deal on several fronts. And for all the "Richt can run our offense with no problem" crowd, yall do remember all the bitching leading up to Richt finally turning over play calling to Bobo in 06 right?

Yeah, there's no way to spin this. Big blow for the program

I'm Just confident CMR will find the right OC to keep us on the same path offensively.
I Remember the criticism of CMR before he handed off to Bobo. I also remember the criticism of Bobo every single year, including this year, after that.
We'll be fine.

I'm less confident in our administration's ability to find the right OC than I have been in a long time unfortunately.

The recruiting impact of this is huge. Eason is most likely gone, and the stranglehold UGA had developed over southwest Georgia will at least be tested.
The whole offensive recruiting class is up in the air, honestly.

No melt here... Good luck to CMB, he saw the situation for what it is & said frick it... Imma out...
There's a pretty big chasm between the new reality of the amount of money & support a Power 5 program must have from it's Athletic Dept. "powers that be" to be "great". UGA's AD isn't even in the ballpark...
McGarity & co. wanna give bottom third money & support to our football program, so we'll soon be getting bottom third results, were getting there slowly but surely...
From 2001 - 2006 we were top 3 in spending & support and the results showed... Bottom line, you get what you pay for....
I was in my mid-late 20's during the '80 - '83 run so I remember it well. It makes me sad to realize you guys prolly won't get to experience that kinda run now that we have the people we do in charge...

If Bobo was paid at the level of his peers, it is a step up for him.
Since he is not, it gives the appearance of a message. Even the recruits saw it...

So you weren't doing it right.

Well, if 'the administration' is picking our next OC, you are quite right. If they let CMR pick the OC I have to think we'll be fine.
Again, we were in a worse position for a DC last year and got the hottest DC in the biz. No reason to think that will change now (imvho).

Exactly. Said from the beginning that if Bobo left 100% because he wanted to be a HC, the focus is still gonna be on UGA being cheap. And I'm ok with that because anything that keeps that narrative going until things get changed (not holding my breath) is good for UGA in the long run (and unfortunately bad in the short run).

I seriously hate the portion of our fanbase that wants Bobo gone. There are people on Facebook rejoicing at this thought.

Yea no doubt the Pruitt hire surprised me big time. And yea it'll be CMR choosing the OC but he is limited by what can be offered by the AD.
Posted on 12/22/14 at 3:56 pm to gatorhata9
I think there are more who want him gone than those who want him to stay. Holy shite it makes our fanbase look retarded

Did I just see that bobo is paid more than 3 of the 4 OCs in the playoff? Hmmm

Bryan and Lilly can pick up the slack recruiting not worried
