While they're not mutually exclusive, reading the story clearly shows it was neither. A dude walked up to the cars and started shooting the cops.

See now, this is what I'm talking about. Clearly you should have been contacted to make the title of both the threads as what you've said is 100% correct. Title should have been "NYC cops killed by fricking piece of shite for no reason then shooter took the pussy way out without having to answer for anything in what appears to be cold blooded murder."
