Also, my theory is more based on the idea that he would have taken over midway through the year for Showers which stops his Heisman and the massive hype train that followed.

Wouldn't that be bad for us though?
That one season got our program more national exposure than a whole decade of playing games previous to that. I like running Arizona.

short term possibly but it would likely be better longterm if he was just finishing his second year as a starter this season.

A kid from my class in HS starts for them. Always thought it was weird a kid from an LA area school ended up there
