Kyler Murray at TX would be rich lmao. My guess is Kevin doesn't care for the way Sumlin runs the program.

Maybe. Of course Liucci will say Ags are solid in a few days. Then he will go back to saying something about the horns. Then the Ags, then the horns...

Look for a wildcard thrown in about Oregon... then back to leaning toward A&M.

THere are really only 4 or 5 people that really know what is happening. That would be Kyler, his mom & dad, and possibly either Sumlin or Strong.

All I know is Kyle Allen is starting next year for A&M. It will not be Murray if he comes to A&M. If he wants to be a starter next year, he is going to have to go someplace else. That's just how it is.

Allen is our QB to start the season and it is highly unlikely to change barring an injury next year.

Your guess would be wrong. If Kyler goes to Texas, it will have to do with the fact that he's been promised to start from day one, while he would most likely have to sit behind Allen for 2 years at A&M.

But I thjnk he sticks with A&M. Texas sites are starting to get a tad more wishy washy in the predictions. They'd been saying that he was a lock and that a press conference was in the works, now they're saying that A&M might still get him.

Seriously, I keep seeing people say this based on nothing. Someone started the rumor and everyone is running with it. Charlie Strong wouldn't have to tell Kyler he could start from day one, all he has to do is look at the depth chart and know that is a good possibility. Also, that is completely opposite of what Charlie Strong has done at every stop on his coaching journey. He wants competition. Like most successful coaches, he wants people to fight for their place on the field and earn the right. He's not giving anyone anything. Imagine that.

Texas still has Jerrod Heard and he wasn't too shabby himself. It seems like the Aggies are trying to give themselves every excuse they can in case he flips to the evil whorns. Then they can point at something as the reason because there is no way anyone could possibly want to live in Austin vs College Station or play for those shitty tsips at tu in that terrible conference. I mean Texas A&M wins championships. Haven't you seen their wall at the stadium with all those pre WW2 titles. They play in NFL JV. Those homos in Austin gotta be throwing money at him and dad. It's the only explanation.

All Kyler needs to do is watch the video on youtube of the Texas Bowl and look at that OL.

Whether he was promised the starting job at Texas or not may or may not be true. Who knows.

The one thing we know for certain is that Sumlin did not promise him a starting job. He won't start at A&M next year. If Kyler wants to start, then he should head to Austin where he has a chance to start.

The only thing that is certain is that it is highly unlikely that Texas will have a slow TE playing QB again next year.

If Kyler wants to play in the crappy 12 he should go to TCU. Much better system, players and coaches.

You could say the same thing about defensive players like Myles Garrett choosing A&M last year, or really any recruit that doesn't go to Bama that's offered by them. It's just not how it works. TCU had one good year in the Big 12, but there is much more national recognition that comes with playing for Texas and Murray has the chance to start from Day 1 there instead of sitting behind Boykin.

Makes sense, I mean, it is impossible that the Texas o-line will ever be good again.

Heard couldn't convince Charlie to take off his RS even though Swoopes was beyond horrible and they had no other scholarship QB's. If Texas wants to move to a Wing T where they pass 5 times a game then Heard is a good option, maybe. Of course without an OL it won't matter. The OL is the real issue because they have very little talent on campus and don't have anyone of note coming in this class. OL isn't something that you can fix with 1 or 2 players either, you need multiple years of solid talent.

Who knows what Murray will do, it's one of the most bizarre recruiting situations I have ever seen. This is especially true because of how vindictive the sips were against Kyler's Dad. A&M got on probation in '88 primarily because of accusations drummed up by the sip Dallas Morning News Editor against Murray. The crap spewed against him when he was at A&M by Texas fans was racially charged and nasty. You have to remember that back in the '80s it was still very unusual to see a black QB, Murray was the first at A&M and Texas didn't have one for years afterward.

Kyler is literally named after "Kyle Field" and he has worn A&M gear in every game of his HS career. Still, anything can happen. Texas can offer him a clear path to the starting job. Strong was actually a GA at A&M when Kevin was in school there was well. Still, it just seems odd that all of this has emerged out of nowhere in the last week.

Recruiting is filled with strange stories though, I remember Dylan Sumner Gardner switching from A&M to Boise at the last minute last year in spite of never having even traveled to Idaho. 17 year olds make interesting decisions.
