When he looks out the window on Sunday morning he will ask himself, "Is that the stadium I see imploding or my recruiting?"

Could the implosion of our recruiting, DC search, and our stadium have been timed any more perfectly.

I'm gonna go ahead and ask that somebody make me a signature with a picture of Kyle Field exploding with Kyler, Malik, and Daylon on top. Go ahead and throw whoever else you want from this recruiting class up there as well. #Yessir #WeRuinedThisShit

When you get down to it we flew very close to the sun. We tried to leverage JFF and the SEC move to jump up the ladder, and to do so we needed every step to hit a rung.

Turns out Aggies can't get by with such a little margin for error.

Oh well, maybe some other three star will be a Heisman player.

I think that is what bothers me the most, that we essentially wasted the biggest opportunity in the history of our program.

If not now, then when? Things will never line up as perfectly for us again. I just hate to think that we blew our shot.

Today is like a real life version of the Empire Strikes Back, with Sumlin's dick playing the role of Luke's hand and Strong the big black man who cut it off.

I wouldn't go that far. Luckily we put some of that JFF money in the literal bank. Today's failures doesn't unbuild that stadium, or ruin those other facilities. Some other coach can maybe pick up those pieces and build something.

I think we did blow our short term shot to solidify our position as a SEC contender though. You won't find me talking shite on the Rant for a while.

Absolutely this.

A&M isn't an elite program. mediocre to good at best. We've never actually won anything of note. Played in one bcs game - lost. Had one conference championship forever ago. Had one of the most electrifying college football players maybe ever, what did we do with him...we won the cotton bowl. I'm not trying to take away how fun that was, it was incredibly enjoyable, but ultimately it's a tier 2 bowl win for a tier 2 team. The only thing aggy athletics does well is sports nobody gives a frick about. So I'm not sure why we should expect anything different. Hope...perhaps. Expect...nope.

Idk why, but I just thought about this sitting up here at work. It might be the greatest post in this websites history.

I would like to retroactively award you 2014 Post of the Year sir.

Whisker, thank you for giving me a coronary early in the morning. I woke up and thought I would get on line and see what was going on in the world. I start reading this post from the beginning and thought something terrible had happened to the program that I had missed, then I noticed the dates on the posts. Now that I'm sweating buckets and my heart is racing I think I'll lay back down. Thanks again!
