Witnessed a Shoplifter running from the store yesterday

I'm walking away from the store and hear "Hey you"!. Of course I turn and look and see a dude full sprinting through the parking lot carrying a very average looking gray and white striped golf shirt.
The thief yells to the "get away vehicle", "GO, GO, GO, which I though was odd sense[sic] he was still 25 yards away.
I had just pulled up beside that vehicle to park but there was a granny aged women vomiting out of the passenger side door and I didn't want ebola so I moved.
There's DNA available I'm thinking if they really want to catch these low lifes.
Anyway, I make a short stroll to the parking lot to see if I can get the plate number but it was too far away and I hadn't eaten lunch and it was already 2pm. So, I went in the restaurant and carried on with my day.
No cops came to interview me during my meal in case you were wondering.

In high school I briefly held a job at a music store, and I was supposed to watch for people stealing CD's. I saw a few people stealing them, but I never tried to stop them. I didn't really care enough.

If ur good enough to get away with it I say go for it.. As long as no innocents were hurt during the process
