Why is the State fan talking about a team with multiple rivals?

They have and will only ever have one.

Wittle sc is not our rival, however, you could argue that Spurrier himself, is definitely a rival.

It's kinda sad that Georgia is so weak, the thread title is something you have to think about. Richt is the eternal bridesmaid. Although I agree with his opinions about driving trucks and Auburn.

It'll be interesting to see how many UGA fans show up to support their team. They are practically begging their fans to buy tickets. I got an offer the other day from UGA for double Hartman Fund points if I would just buy tickets.

Funny thing is when I turned in post season ticket request, I never thought to request Belk Bowl tickets

Maybe Belk will throw in a free sweater or coffee maker if you buy a ticket.

My very point! When was the last time that UGA covered a line on a bowl game that they weren't excited to be in?....easy $$$

You could say the same thing about Alabama and other SEC teams.

If these two games aren't winners, Coach will give you the rest of his bowl picks for free! Call now.

I do have a couple more "2nd tier" picks available, but you'll have to let me sleep with your wife.....and when you come back to the house, she'll throw rocks a you.

It must feel good to be able to finally talk down to someone. What's it been. 10 years? 20 years?

Common opponent UK
Louisiville wins 44-40
Georgia scores on every possession of the game 63-31.

Georgia will roll over Louisville

Georgia was in the conference title race @ UK...now they have little or no motivation. BIG difference.

Yep. 2 of Bama's most embarrassing losses in the Saban era were in lesser bowl games when they expected to be in the natty.

Depends on which Georgia team shows up to the game honestly. The Georgia that obliterated UK, Arkansas, and Mizzou wins going away in style.

The Georgia that was trampled by a woeful Florida squad and collapsed against GT finds a way to lose against Louisville.

Georgia is one of the most talented teams in the conference. Unfortunately they are also the most unpredictable team in the conference. When they are on they can beat any team in the country. When they aren't any team in the country can beat them.

Picking a "rival" is so subjective & changes

No it's not. Both teams have to consider it a rivalry. You can't just pick some random team out and say they are a rival.

quote:

Right now, SC is a bigger rival than UT. It's been a more competitive series of late, the buzz in Athens is much higher during SC game week than UT,

Again, no. Just because a series is competitive does not make it a rivalry. UGA/GT is a huge rivalry and the series has not been very competitive lately.

quote:

there have been 50% more games played against SC than UT throughout history.

While MAYBE a factor it would be a small factor. If we decided to play Ga. Southern or Ga. State every year, that would not necessarily make us rivals.

We don't want you in FL. It's pretty simple. Move.
