Spurrier is 1 of my favorite coaches ever, what he did at Florida, and now SC is phenomenal. To me he doesn't get enough credit.
I was reading the thread about Harbaugh Vs. Saban, and these guys are great for sure, but I have more respect for Spurrier than those 2 combined. Put Saban at SC and he does no better than Spurrier or Holtz.
SC fan, how does your team look for the next 2 years? I would love to see the old ball coach go out with a special season or 2.

Screw that. We play them next season. I hope they are terrible until after we play them. And that goes for every other team we play as well

It would not come close to accomplishing what he has done at Bama. Saban to Bama was the perfect storm. A starving administration that was willing to give the best program builder in the country more money and other resources than any other program in the country. Not to mention, recruiting at Bama with those type resources isn't exactly difficult. Saban would have had nowhere near that type set up at USCe and he's not a good enough Xs and Os/game planner to overcome that.

The challenge is now out there, we'll see if Saban takes it. Does he think he can have more success than Holtz and Spurrier combined at SC, can he prove it?
We'll have to wait and see.
