Bobo leaving would be the most UGA thing ever to happen

We can't be elite on both sides of the ball. We can't get over that hump to a perfect season. We always drop those 1-2 games we shouldn't.

Fine. But we also haven't had the talent other schools have had.
Things are finally shaping up to have top 5 recruiting classes in 2015 and 2016 which would be colossal momentum in the next few years.

Now, at this crucial moment for flighty and nervous recruits, Mike Bobo is considering leaving. A huge reason these kids are wanting to come is his commitment to this program.

Mike Bobo leaves
Eason reopens his recruiting
Van Jefferson gone
Godwin to bama
house of cards.

Just when things are on the upswing and gaining huge momentum, something like this would happen. And it sums up the UGA football program perfectly.

I wonder if the backlash on the AA side would cause issues?

A lot of people here think that Bobo leaving would not have much of an impact on our program. I'm not one of them.

Not sure we need another thread about it though...although the last one turned into discussion about southern dialects and affirmative action, so maybe we do.

If we lose Bobo because we pay him like he's a fricking 2nd year position coach at a Div I-AA school, then McGarity should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a god damned rail. If Bobo really wants to leave and be a HC, then I understand, but we need to at least offer him 900k/year like basically every other school has started paying their coordinators.

People are already fed up with ADGM and if we lose bobo due to not paying a few extra bucks I can't imagine the backlash. People would be furious, and with good reason.

McGarity is probably sweating now because if Bobo leaves, regardless of reason, the narrative has already been written.

But yea, if Bobo leaves and it is even remotely confirmed that UGA trying to save a few bucks played a role, that's gonna be ugly.

Ok, so I might have jumped the gun a little bit. I just scanned through the other Bobo threads and don't see a lot of people who don't want Bobo to stay...mainly just Kneehigh and Hinesville. Kneehigh rarely has anything worth reading and Hinesville did claim that Bobo is only successful because of the talent he's "given", ultimately suggesting he could be replaced with ease. That didn't go over well.

But yeah, fortunately, almost everybody here wants him to stay and agree he's vastly underpaid. Unfortunately, what we think doesn't mean shite. Hopefully our administration knows what they're dealing with.

UGA should go ahead and bump both coordinators to $1M per year. If McGarity loses Bobo Mark Richt should think about coaching elsewhere.

The Prez (not Obama). AD isn't the top guy.

If bobo goes and we keep most our recruits, the backlash will be muffled.

If bobo goes, and eason decommits and we immediately feel a huge step bag in recruiting, I say we call for his head. On a stick.

Well, we are dealing with an admin that doesn't support our FB program to an extent that is even close to the major powers...so what does that say?

Yeah, I know. Not a lot of confidence to be had when you need it...

So your saying that the SEC would be the Spanish in Cuba and UGA would be the Rough Riders? I can dig that.

My people tell me Russ and Pat are working to get him a 9x3 dealio...

Does this mean Richt will have to fire 2 assistants?
