Who is going to land him ?
6'8 235 4.6

The kid has only played football and been in the states since August. Talk about a diamond in the rough and upside.Several SEC schools have offered and are hard after him .

Class of 2016. Kid has a lot of time left to blow up (if he deserves it).

I expect both Auburn and Alabama would want to get him to their camps next summer to really evaluate him before throwing out an offer if this is truly his first season playing.

And at 6'8 235, he sounds like he should be playing roundball.

He'll probably figure this out pretty fast.

Edgewood Academy

When I was playing ball one of our DB's had one of their parents call him after a game. No idea how she got our players number, but she was not happy that her son got hit so hard. "You almost killed him, I seent it!! you POS."

He came from Nigeria planning to play bball, but coach convinced him he had a higher upside at football.

With this last 48 hours of offers, it's hard to second guess him right now. Ran a 4.61 in high top Jordans in his 1st football practice. Tracked their starting RB down from 30 yards behind.

Bama is close to offering now, Tega had no clue who Nick Saban was a few months ago

I don't care how fast the defender is, that school has starting RB problems.

Herman McKenzie is no slouch, was All-Everything his 2 years at Tallassee before transferring to Edgewood. Had over 140 yards and was the MVP in their 5th state title win in a row.

Got an Oregon State offer, but his recruitment never really took off.

Not really.

They just won their 5th consecutive and 6th in the last 7 seasons AISA football title.

It may be a little pond, but they're far and away the biggest fish in it.

You know really that supports his point right?

Going back to the early 2000s the AISA has always had a dominant program. There was a semblance of parity in the mid 90s but always a top dog after that. Morgan dominated the early 2000s, then Bessemer started to have black kids enroll and white flight happened in Selma so Morgan went to shite. They won a title in '06 but have been miserable since. Mobile Christian was on top for a while then they stated playing in ahsaa, those kids at Bessemer have started playing at the public school again to garner more recruiting interest and Edgewood has taken over in the last 6-7 years. Don't get me wrong, the top dog in the AISA usually has a team that could compete in 2a-3a in the ahsaa, but everyone else is just garbage. Edgewood doesn't play anyone worth a damn, because no one else in their league is worth a damn.

I don't see it supporting his point at all.

If they were playing AHSAA ball and had a defensive lineman that could run down their backs, it would mean they have a problem.

But they don't play AHSAA so all it means is that their starting running backs are still fast enough to start for the team that's won 6 of 7 and they've got a d-lineman that can catch their opponent's backs from behind.

For where they play, Edgewood doesn't have starting running back problems, starting QB problems, or really any problem at all.

I'm well aware of where OJ Howard came from, I'm well versed in AISA ball. And I'd really be surprised if 1A Autaga was playing 3A Edgewood.

Nonetheless, we're talking 2 highly recruited football players from a collection of 30 or 40 schools over the last decade. The talent is shite. Don't see how anyone can argue that.

You missed my point. Edgewood is far and away the class of AISA. Everyone else sucks. If Tega was playing for glenwood or Ft. Dale and had film dominating Edgewood, that's more impressive than dominating the scrubs he's playing against.

Edgewood would be like if Alabama played in the sun belt, they're just a lot better than their competition (but would still probably get raped in AHSAA)
