06 LSU vs Aub
I don't know if it's the worst call/no-call ever, but this is the one I remember most.

One of the most blatant and potentially costly.

Sabear ..... on the link you posted two questions for you:

1. What was the reason the official ruled the pass incomplete?

2. What happened on the next play?

The call never was that PP7 was out of bounds. The ball was dead because Julio touched it first with his foot down out of bounds. Rules man.

Now when the aggy qb thought he had a free play because of the LSU offsides, now that was funny.

1973 Cotton bowl Alabama leading Texas 13-10 with 7.32 left in 4th quarter, Texas has ball 3rd and 2 , Texas Qb keeps on a Qb boot where he clearly stepped out of bounds by a good foot and was awarded TD by all SWC officials.
Back in those days Cotton Bowl + Texas + SWC officials = Loss.
Although I also heard Bama got screwed in the Orange Bowl against Texas with SWC officials when Namath scored on a QB sneak but was ruled short of the goaline even though Namath was laying in the endzone on top of his center.
To young for the Orange bowl to say for certain but in1973 I was 12 and watched the Cotton bowl and witnessed this.
Texas may have scored anyway but I recall the photo in the Atlanta journal showing his foot a foot or more beyond the boundary and an official standing there watching.

Auburns tying TD in 2013 Iron bowl was terrible and the illegal motion penalty on Cade Fosters made FG .
Can't recall the year but Arkansas with Danny Ford as coach defeating Gene Stallings and Alabama on a trapped ball tbat was ruled a catch and TD for Arkansas.

Not only did we stop Colorado at the end of the game after 4th down, but the clock then should have run out and even worse, we stopped them on 5th down but called a TD. To make it worse, by winning, Colorado was able to go on to claim part of the national championship.

5th Down

Runner up is the kick and catch against 1997 Nebraska. The WR admitted he intentionally kicked the ball after the game. 15 yard penalty and loss of down, while time ran out. Without that loss, Nebraska was able to go on to claim a portion of the national championship.

Kick and Catch

Why? Because it wasn't near the end of the game? Do the other 58 minutes not matter? Who knows how the game would have unfolded had Peterson been granted the interception?

Surely you think the personal foul this year cost you the Bama game

Perhaps but that was 100% on our dumbshit player. He deserved the personal flag penalty. Peterson made a great play and was robbed, pure and simple.

Now, I think it often cuts both ways but in the age of replay those kinds of stupifyingly dumb calls should be rarer and rarer.

Upon further reflection, I will concede our offense sucked donkey dick if you will concede that Peterson getting robbed of the INT took away our last, best hope of winning that game.

Jarrett Lee managed to move LSU's offense an entire 9 yards on 3 drives in the 4th quarter.

I'm going to buy a lot more Scotch if Michigan doesn't hire Miles soon.

I was standing at the edge of the stands almost even with the goal line in the North endzone ready to rush the field. My cousin was yelling in my ear, "That was 5 downs." And then we all just went limp. Air was sucked out of the stadium as that ref put his hands up in the air signaling TD when it clearly wasn't.

One Mizzou.

Actually it was a no-call, which usually ends in the same result: a loss. 2008 NCAA championship poised to knock off the #2 seeded UCLA bruins, in LA for a sweet 16 berth... then this happens: LINK

The 2001 game vs. BYU. Played on the first Saturday in December because of 9-11. BYU was undefeated and 10-0, while MSU was 3-7. We had three long TD's called back, and they held like crazy and it was never called. Jackie called the refs out on the big screen after the game and got fined. We had around 16 penalties. Ended up losing 41-38, and there was no doubt those MWC officials were told to make sure the Mormons stayed undefeated. That's the only time I really think refs called against a MSU team on purpose.

The Push

2000 @ Clemson

Clemson WR Ron Gardner pushes off our DB to make a catch that gets Clemson well into FG range with seconds remaining.

Flag is thrown. Defensive pass interference is called. Clemson goes on to kick the game winning FG.

9 year old Cockopotamus shed a few tears

Here's a visual

^^^^** that shite right there got called defensive PI

I was there for the push, it was brutal. But it wasn't called defensive PI, no call was made. It should have been offensive PI. The camera showed the official reaching for the flag, but it was in the other pocket...so he just didn't throw it.
