a post from LSU basketball media:

SEC Hoops today has 8 teams top 100 RPI, All 14 are in the top 162. Entire SEC top half of D1 RPI 1st time since daily marks kept in 1992. ?#LSU? at 15. SEC's non-conference average RPI is the best since 2006.

One of the biggest problems has been pitiful schedules. Really have done a good job scheduling to make this happen. Would have been helpful for Bama to have held on last night but there are quite a few decent, though not necessarily great, wins across the conference that weren't by UK.

Speak for yourselves. Tennessee has played a top notch schedule every year since about 2006 and will continue to do so.

Agreed. The LSU schedule is gangbusters but better than the average. 7 of 9 opponents in top 100 RPI. 6-1 in those games.

I'm not trying to be negative, but we will see. SEC basketball needs to prove something as far as the total conference goes. Beat Kentucky two or three times and they may have something.

I'm trying to temper my optimism and stay grounded in realty, but looking at the other SEC teams and the schedule, I can easily see Kentucky finishing 19-0. I would take an incredible off night with the other team playing lights out for us to lose in conference. Little Brother a week from Saturday will be a real test, however, and I could easily see us losing there.
