I would bet that most people that actually attend or graduated from Alabama didn't have a problem with UAB having a football program. The UAB haters are Bama tee shirt fans that have their entire lives wrapped around the success of Bama. They treat it like a religion and are threatened by the thought of another fan base, no matter how small, being in the same state. Unfortunately for UAB, I guess Watts is technically a Bama tee shirt fan.

Why the hell are so many non-Bama SEC fans obsessed with UAB football? Its a half arse program that loses money and has no fans. IF Bama killed it, they are doing the taxpayers a favor.

Be in Orange Beach in a week and a half.

May be time for a bit of a gump arse kicking spree. Starting at Live Bait, ending at Flora Bama.

Close. It's the older generation Bama t-shirt fans that bow at the altar of Paul Bear Bryant because Gene Bartow had the audacity to accuse Bryant of cheating.

Most Bama fans I know couldn't give 2 shits about the UAB football program.

Bama alum here who could care less one way or the other about UAB football. I would have liked to see their football program continue for the sake of a couple of UAB friends of mine. I don't like it but I think UAB's whining, complaining, and sniping at UA over the years has hurt Birmingham.

TiM,

May want to chill off with the kicking Bama fan's arse comments. One day you're going to mouth off to the wrong Bama fan and they are going to break off that foot and shove it down your throat.

Meh, I'm just joking around about that.

Never actually been in a fight with a gump over football.

Have been in a bar fight with LSU fans after an AU-LSU game though. Ironically in Orange Beach too.

As enticing as that sounds, I'm ringing in the New Year's in Nola.

But if gumps is what you're looking for, you'll get your fill at Flora-Bama.

I guess I know the answer, but it seems nuts enough to make me wonder if I am missing something.

I was thinking of meeting a friend there New Year's if I was staying in OB that long. I'm heading back here before then though.

Try not to scrap anymore. Last one was probably that one after the '08 AU-LSU game. Had an altercation a year or two ago here but that just involved knocking someone down after getting poked in the chest.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about being smart enough to not start a fight at the Flora Bama.

I'll probably be there this Saturday night myself. A friend of mine is one of the co-owners. You ought to go by there if you haven't been in a couple of years. The place is pretty impressive with the way they've built it back up.

This Saturday at FB and NYE in Nola. Going to be a fun holiday season.
