WTF is this shite? Where did this come from?

Richt made it clear that the immediate surgery was to help him maximize his recovery time to get prepared for next season.

Sounds to me like this was some sort of contingency for him to stay another year. Maybe he had New Year's plans that didn't involve Charlotte.

I don't buy them wanting to perform it ASAP to give him more time to recover. 2 weeks extra recovery time going to make an impact over a 7 month period?

ETA: Maybe he knew he needed it and wanted it to come out of the school's wallet instead of his own ...if that's the case, I'll take another season of Floyd if it means he can't play in our bowl.

He tore both labrums. Finished out the season with the injuries. Remember when he sat for kentucky?

Yeah, I just question the timing, that's all...Given that he finished out the regular season okay and didn't get injured vs GT (as far as I know). Seems like he could have played one more game and had the surgery 2 weeks from now.

I'll also admit I don't have a lot of information on the reason for surgery.

Why risk him playing in the shite-arse Bowl when he's already injured? Have the surgery, hope next year we don't play in mother fricking Charlotte.

That's ok. Give Lorenzo Carter another good game to develop. The more snaps the better.

Torn labias can be a tough recovery.

Yikes, hard to believe he's played with two torn labrums the past few games. I have noticed that he's missed quite a few more tackles at the tail end of the year than he did early on.

Hope he has a speedy recovery and glad we will have him back next year.

Good move. No need to wait so he can play in the POS Bowl.

But yeah - he would have terrorized them Cardinals.
