Im not sold on Jones at Tennessee just yet and I think it takes at least a year or two for Florida to contend. Both probably in the 6-6 or 5-7 range IMO.

I don't like Florida's schedule, at all. I would not be surprised early in the season if UF shite the bed against East Carolina, they haven't exactly been playing well at home lately, and East Carolina will be a funny game because UF will have just played them in January in a bowl game.

@ Kentucky early will be a test because they have a QB and UF will still be trying to figure shite out. Again, especially considering the streak and how close it came to ending in Gainesville his past year, I would not be shocked AT ALL, if UK actually beat UF.

Tennessee will find a way to shite the bed, thankfully.

I have SOME hope for the Ole Miss game, since they'll be replacing their DC and breaking in a new QB, but UF has historically not played well against Mississippi schools.

Then UF has to leave gainesville to play 3 straight games against teams that have just been, simply, better than the gators for a couple of years now. If UF wins one of those, I'll be surprised.

So yeah, tough draw for a first year coach. I think 6 wins. Tennessee will win more than that, but still find a way to lose to Florida.

I mean, Sugar Bowl losses to Louisville are cool I suppose.

The fall is going to be hard. Don't worry, though, it gets better as time passes.

If we have offense next year I can't see us going 6-6. The D is going to be very strong simply because of the returning talent. I think Mac will get the offense going and finish year 1 at 8-4/9-3.

Bowl games are pretty cool I suppose. Especially BCS Bowl games. It's been so long for Tennessee I guess you forgot that there are usual more than 12 games in a season.

Yes. Continue to take potshots at my beloved program. It will soften the blow of what's to come. Everyone like someone smaller than them they can pick on.

Us, though? Well, we can pick on UT-Chattanooga I guess.

Tennessee will have a better record. Florida will struggle next year and will probably end up with a losing record.

Enter Bama fans dickriding UF because you hired their old OC.

I think UT surprises with around an 8 win season if the playcalling on O gets better and some freshmen step up, particularly some LBs, secondary guys, and those freshman DTs.

If UT and UF played each other in a game of poker UF would win with a hand consisting of a 2 of clubs, a Get Out of Jail Free card from Monopoly, a green #3 card from Uno, and a business card for Rick's Car Wash.

Don't get me started. I'm still furious over that FG to win that wasn't snapped until after the play clock expired.

UF got bailed out by the refs in the UT and UK games. Or they would have been a 4 win team this year. But if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle.

NEW MEXICO STATE W
EAST CAROLINA W
at Kentucky W
TENNESSEE W
OLE MISS L
at Missouri L
at LSU L
Georgia (Jacksonville) L
VANDERBILT W
at South Carolina W
FLORIDA ATLANTIC W
FLORIDA STATE L

7-5 for UF with a win to TN, just because I can't ever pick us to win again. I see 6-6 to 8-4 for UF so I'll stick in middle with 7-5.

Tennessee's schedule:

9-5 - Bowling Green (at Nashville, TN) W
09/12 - Oklahoma - L (Could be a W easily)
9/19 - Western Carolina W
9/26 - at Florida L never picking an W again
10/03 - Arkansas W
10/10 - Georgia W Butch's first big Sig. W
10/24 - at Alabama L
10/31- at Kentucky W
11/07 - South Carolina W
11/14 - North Texas W
11/21 - at Missouri L
11/28 - Vanderbilt W

I see 8-4 with the UGA and Ark wins possibly being stretches but Oklahoma and @Missouri are winnable.

So 6-6 to 10-2 for Vols - 8-4 sounds right.

Looks like Vols is the answer to your question.

Eh... I'd flip the Ole Miss game to Florida (in the Swamp and Ole Miss replaces a ton) and make Uga a tossup (seriously we blew them out this year with a learning disabled Neanderthal as a Head Coach).

Also FSU is likely to be a game where Florida is favored they lose everyone this year.

I don't know, y'all are coming off two bad season, with no coaches returning, all new systems, no qb, not much offensive firepower and the #88 class in the country right now.

Of course there are some solid pieces but if I was UF I'd be happy with a bowl in year one.

I expect a massive jump in year 2 like a Saban type situation.

Also think about all your O players and how they've learned 3 or 4 systems over the years. That stunts their development and they really will need some continuity.

Yeah, Florida is going to slip into irrelevance... right....

UT fans have been dreaming that dream since 2001.
