Free-throw shooting against Western Carolina:

38-43 (88%), including 12-13 by Siakem!

Baldwin (8-8), LaChance (5-5), and Mitchell (4-4) were all perfect from the line, while Kornet (3-4) and Jones (6-9) were decent.

Starting to get excited, especially if we can get something against Georgia Tech this weekend...

Nice win

Do you go to the men or women games?

Men's on occasion, but not often. They tend to conflict with other activities and I'm one of those oddballs who prefers the view you get on a broadcast to the in-person view...

Good free throw shooting seems such an easy way to improve your chances in any game. We've seen some very average FT shooters recently at Vandy so this is exciting.

Watching the difference in us and Auburn's FT shooting last night really made me feel sorry for the Auburn fans watching.

Vandy historical team FT% is usually above 70%. The last 2 seasons (64% and 66%) have been awful. Currently at 73% for the season this year and as you noted, the difference is refreshing.

That might be the most disgusted by a Vandy win that I've ever been, including the UMass and CSU in football this year. Watching Auburn be totally inept offensively while we were insanely sloppy on offense made for much annoyance.

That Vandy held a 10-14 point lead for most of the game with 20+ turnovers is encouraging, even though it wasn't pretty.

That was a product more of Auburn missing easy shots. If we'd been lockdown on defense, I could handle it better.

By no means did they grab control and play an exceptional game, but for the 4th youngest team in the country I was proud of them. Easy for young guys to lose focus.

Agreed. Hope they keep their composure today against the high-pressure hogs...
