I was being sarcastic. That's what he was looking for I assume, so I acknowledged his awesomeness. Why else would you post something like that in this thread?

Most all of the answers here are about very short term energy-boosting elixirs. Back in the day, my go-to before a long bike race was Exceed High Carbohydrate Source. No longer available, but there are similar products. Look up "carbohydrate drink", find the nastiest most carb-loaded gelatinous stuff you can, and tank up on it the night before a race. At 2 hours in it definitely makes a difference. I loved it because I have an iron gut and I knew most others couldn't stomach it.

Sometimes when I'm studying in the library I hit up the Starbucks for their strawberry-lemonade flavored energy drinks. They taste way better than Red Bull/Monster/etc but unfortunately don't seem as strong.

Otherwise I usually just go for a 5 Hour Energy

Coffee---makes me unable to focus on tedious tasks

Monster---knees and other joints pay the price the next day

Red Bull---might as well have a Monster..it's better

5 hour energy----meh
