Who takes his place? I think Bobo leaving would be bad IMHO
But if he does. Do we hire within? Will Friend? Bryan McClendon?

No to coach mcclendon. I think the guy is a hell of a recruiter but above average to good rb coach.

Probably Tony Ball or Will Friend

Hines Ward and Herschel together, obviously.

Will Friend
This would be my choice. I think he had a lot to do with the run schemes that were so effective for us this year.

Gruden or Harbaugh. If not, my donations will go elsewhere.

Who else besides Bobo is interviewing for the Colorado State job?
Bobo would just about triple his salary, and McElwain left it in pretty good shape and landed a bigger job after only three years there.
Seems like a pretty good deal and the perfect opportunity for someone like Bobo..........
Can you people see it yet? This is where the scales tip in the other direction...........and Pruitt's defense becomes world-beaters, but our new offense without Bobo struggles.
The cycle repeats.

The downside is that CSU will want to put a huge buyout in the contract like they did with McElwain. They don't want it to be a stepping stone job. That wouldn't be appealing to a coach like Bobo, I wouldn't think.

Things are making more and more sense here..........
For a school concerned about coaches using their school as a stepping stone, wouldn't that make someone with a resume like Mike Bobo's even more appealing. He's been at the same school for fifty years. He's loyal. He's in it for the long haul....
Bobo is probably hammering that point home right now in the interview as we speak.
We're fricked.

Bobo has only lived in two places ever. No way he packs up the brady bunch and heads to potland.
Eta- if he does, then I wish him well.

My people are telling me that Richt has revealed to Bobo that he only plans to coach for 3 or 4 more years......(due to hip problems)
This is why Bobo is going to take the next head coaching job he is offered.
He realizes if he coaches somewhere for 3 or 4 years and has moderate success, that he then becomes the top candidate to replace Richt when the time comes.

Thankfully today isn't Tuesday or this would be true. I'm still hoping we keep him.
